About me

I'm Madeleine a holistic chef and women's health guide, originally from the UK, currently somewhere between Costa Rica, European travel and figuring out what comes next.

Through food, lifestyle practices, nervous system support and realistic nutrition habits, I help women create a healthier relationship with both their bodies and the way they nourish themselves.

My Story

For half of my twenties and thirties I ate what I believed was the healthiest way possible. Plant-based, mostly whole foods, careful and considered. I built a career around it — cooking for retreats and wellness communities in Costa Rica, feeding people food I genuinely believed was healing them.

And for a long time, I believed it was healing me too.

But underneath that, things weren't right. My digestion was struggling, my hormones were all over the place, my energy was unpredictable, and I was more anxious than I wanted to admit. I kept thinking if I just refined my diet a little more, cut one more thing out, followed one more protocol — I'd feel better.

I didn't.

What actually shifted things wasn't a new diet or a new supplement. It was slowing down, reducing stress, and perhaps most unexpectedly, reintroducing animal protein after years without it. Eggs first, then fish. Small changes that made a significant difference to how I felt in my body.

That experience changed everything about how I think about food and health. It's why I'm not interested in handing anyone a fixed set of rules. Bodies change. What works changes. And the version of "healthy" I was chasing for years was keeping me stuck.

What I Believe

Healing rarely starts with food — it usually starts with slowing down enough to actually listen to your body.

Restriction dressed up as wellness is still restriction.

Your body isn't broken. It's probably just under-nourished, under-rested, and overwhelmed.

Food should feel like something you look forward to, not something you manage.

What I’m Building

My work is evolving. Alongside retreat chef work and recipe creation, I'm developing nutrition guidance and coaching support for women navigating gut health, hormones, and cycle health — rooted in my own experience rather than a textbook.

It's still taking shape, and I'm sharing that process openly as it unfolds.

Through recipes, writing, and wellness guidance, my intention is to create a space that feels grounding, supportive, inspiring and deeply human.
